Bernie is a great representation of both parents. She is a very well-balanced dog both in the house and in the field. I had the fortune of hunting over Bernie in South Dakota when she was five months old. I also shot her first wild pheasant over her that ended with a perfect retrieve to hand. Bernie has a strong retrieving desire both on land and in the water.
Bernie’s livability score in the house is off the charts. Calm and cuddly when relaxing with the family, but ready to go, whether to train or to go on a jog. Bernie’s stable temperament makes her highly biddable and there is no limit to her abilities. Bernie recently completed her whoa training and trained-retrieve. Those skills will be put towards AKC and Utility testing in the coming year.
